Your Right to Data Deletion

Under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We take your privacy seriously and provide multiple ways to delete your data.

Option 1: Delete Your Account (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete all your data is through your account settings:

  1. Log in to your Ringly account
  2. Go to Account Settings
  3. Scroll to "Danger Zone"
  4. Click "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm deletion

What gets deleted: Your account, profile, projects, landing pages, analytics data, payment history, and all associated personal information.

Option 2: Email Data Deletion Request

If you cannot access your account, send us an email request:

Subject: GDPR/CCPA Data Deletion Request

Include:

  • Your full name
  • Email address associated with your account
  • Confirmation that you want to delete all your data
  • Optional: Reason for deletion (helps us improve)

Response time: We will respond within 30 days and complete the deletion within 45 days.

What Happens After Deletion?

  • Your account and profile are permanently deleted
  • All projects and landing pages are removed
  • Analytics data is anonymized or deleted
  • Payment information is deleted (Stripe may retain for legal compliance)
  • Deployed pages on Netlify are removed after 30 days

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Irreversible: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • Active subscriptions: Cancel subscriptions before deleting to avoid charges
  • Unused credits: Credits are non-refundable and will be forfeited
  • Legal retention: Some data may be retained for legal compliance (e.g., tax records for 7 years)
  • Backups: Data in backups will be deleted during the next backup cycle (within 90 days)

Other Privacy Rights

In addition to deletion, you have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of all your data (email privacy@ringly.dev)
  • Correction: Update incorrect data in Account Settings
  • Portability: Export your projects as HTML or JSON
  • Objection: Opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link in emails)
